I am of the complete opposite opinion.
The Web3 "industry" is exploitative, and has been outsourcing work to poorer countries, which will also feel the brunt of the e-waste and ecological problem that crypto causes. They already feel the impact mining has on their electrical grids. The vast majority of NFTs don't sell, meaning most participants lose money and time, and everything suffers from a belief akin to one that every participant in a lottery wins. A shocking amount of art is getting stolen from small and independent artists, who end unwillingly partaking in scams. DAOs directly translate and exaggerate societal imbalances of power by tying control to ownership of capital, and are also riddled with scams.
If you're accusing me of a "very narrow mindset", it would be good to hear from you at least one example of "gatekeeping" or "accessibility issues" and how Web3 solves it - I'm all ears.
