Transactional data is information that documents an exchange, agreement or transfer that occurs between organizations and/or individuals. That's why blockchains are usually referred to as "public ledgers".

They don't fit any definition of an operating system, even if you can implement smart contracts on them. At most, they are quasi virtual machines.

Good luck telling people how little they know.
