Well, I simply disagree. Virtually all discussions about Web3 revolve around blockchain, and the whole point of my article is to criticise that: to reject the notion that blockchains are necessary, or in fact desirable, to achieve web decentralisation. If there’s a Web3 without blockchains and cryptocurrency, I’ll be very likely supportive of it (in fact, there already is, and has been for many years now). We also don’t need smart contracts, which mostly apply to transactional data.

Another main point of my article was to show that we had similar technologies for decades, yet decentralisation hasn’t been achieved, because it takes more than a fancy new technology to achieve that.

You’re not really addressing any of this and simply implying that “I don’t understand”.
